先週、TOMODACHI-Mitsui & Co. Leadership Programのオリエンテーションに参加しました。日米の代表団20名が「イノベーション」「起業家精神」「リーダーシップ」を学ぶプログラムで、日本の代表団は9月にデトロイトとワシントンを訪問します。
私の大切な仕事は、個人と個人、企業と行政、地域と地域など、釜石を起点とする多様な関係性をつくることです。震災から5年が経過し、熊本地震という“次の震災”が発生した環境下で、オープンシティの理念を具現化していくためには、どのような文脈で釜石を語るのかというコンテクストが重要なのです。
ですから、このプログラム参加では、世界の論点を学びつつ、震災復興の学びをシェアすることを目指します。特に、財政破綻からの復興を経験しているデトロイト訪問では、日米のまちづくりにおけるアプローチやリーダーシップの違いについて、学びを深めたいと思っています。そして、“Global Context, Local Agenda”を今年のテーマに、今日からブログを日英で書いてみます！

I participated the orientation of TOMODACHI-Mitsui & Co. Leadership Program in last week. This program provides opportunities to learn about Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Leadership to 20 delegations from Japan and the U.S. We Japanese delegations will visit Detroit and Washington, D.C. in September 2016.
My mission is building various relationships such as individuals-individuals, companies-public administrations, and regions-regions with Kamaishi. To realize visions of the Kamaishi Resilient Strategy, the contexts is more important than the contents in this environment which 5 years has passed since the Great East Japan Earthquake and “a next earthquake” (the Kumamoto Earthquake) has occurred.
So, my goals in this program are learning global agenda and sharing lessons learned from our reconstruction process. Especially, I will deeply learn the differences in approach and leadership of reconstruction between Detroit and Tohoku. And, I’m going to post my articles in Japanese and English, inquire “Global Context, Local Agenda”.
